Objectives: 

1. To share information about new technologies and case studies to visualize social phenomenon and cultural heritage content spatially and/or chronologically, e.g. GIS applications to understand spatial patterns and relationships.
2. To encourage academics, scientists and techno-partners to take full advantage of ICT applications for teaching, research and e-resource development in the field of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.
3. To network with other WGs and interested parties on e-resources (systems) and aggregation methods including inter-operability and meta-data along with the development of network infrastructure; e.g. the Sub-Culture peculiar on the Net.
4. To explore the e-exchange of cultures and cultural performances including developing a cultural database of the Asia-Pacific region.

Agenda: 
01. ICT literacy among students of secondary schools and Madrasah of Bangladesh: An exploratory research - A.S.M. Asaduzzaman
School children constitute a remarkable portion of the total population of Bangladesh. More than the size, their age group and characteristics make them an important community. The Internet, social media, mobile phones are popular among them. Many of these children are the so called “digital immigrants” (Prensky, 2001). Quite often, these young minds become vulnerable to rumors, fake news, distorted and incomplete information available online. Their incapacity to differentiate information from misinformation and also to judge the reliability and authenticity of sources leads to personal, legal and social problems. Therefore, it is imperative that we investigate their access and level of knowledge, competence and literacy regarding their ICT use.

02. Trust-Building Workshop for the Future Generation in Asia - Tosh Yamamoto,  Juling Shih, Masanori Tagami and Tomoya Ikezawa
A sustainable goal to the future society is to maintain a safe, peaceful, and self-sustainable society. Aiming at such safe, peaceful, and sustainable society, trust-building workshops based on global liberal arts have been implemented among elementary schools, high schools, universities, and graduate schools in Japan and Taiwan, where multi-stakeholders gather and discuss for the benefit of the future generations. Such workshops offer participants of various ages and experiences would have opportunities to talk with younger as well as older generations, which is similar to the situation where one could talk as if he/she were meeting and talking to the self, say, ten years ago or ten years later in life. The goal of the presentation is to share with the participants the progress of the negotiation practicum movement that has been conducted since 2014 with the governmental education grant for accelerating innovative educational curriculum involving K-12, universities, graduate schools, and, glocal societies.

03. Crafting New Cultural Values in Rural Communities Dwindling in Population and Economic Power - An Optimal Solution to Revitalize Rural Farming Communities - Tosh Yamamoto,  Maki Okunuki, Benson Ong and Chris Pang
There have been many studies and cases of trials to solve the problem of rural communities dwindling in population and losing economic impact. In such communities, houses have been vacated and farm fields have been abandoned. Sustainable development has not been maintained in such communities. Successful cases are few. And yet, the government will be more interested in SDGs at the global level. Any innovative ideas without economic consideration would not solve such issues. In a way, it will be a successful sense-making of solving the issue of the current situation and ICT-enhanced digital marketing strategies. The goal of the presentation is to demonstrate two optimal social entrepreneurship approaches to support start-up groups of entrepreneurial innovators through incubation. A pilot project in the Aogaki Township in the Tamba Area will be reported during the presentation. And then, an innovative project will be reported by NYP a successful case of incubation for social entrepreneurship in Singapore.
