Dr TeckChaw Ling is an Associate Professor with the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, The University of Malaya, Malaysia. He is also the chairperson of MYREN Network & Distributed Systems Working Group. He was the Dean of ICT and Computational Science Research Cluster, University of Malaya from 2011-2012. His research areas include Software Defined Network, core network research, inter-domain Quality of Service (QoS), Voice over IP (VoIP), cloud computing, and network security. Dr Ling is also a certified Cisco Instructor trainer and actively provide knowledge transfer to Mongolia, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. With his vast knowledge and experience in Computer Networking and Security technologies, he has been invited by ITU, United Nations and USAID to provide technology transfer to least developed countries. Dr Ling was the Design Advisory Team member of Cisco System Inc. (USA), and also the Co-PI of the OF@TEIN+: Open/Federated Playground for Future Networks Project, a project fully sponsored by Asi@Connect.
